Welcome. The gentle splash of the paddlewheel reminds you of a bygone era, but this modern-day sternwheeler has all the amenities to make your sentimental journey tranquil and relaxing. The Gem is a clean and comfortable boat, United States Coast Guard Approved and Handicapped Accessible. The lower deck is enclosed with heating or air conditioning, a snack shop, and restrooms. She is able to carry up to 296 passengers. For over thirty-four years, our company has given people a place to come to relax and enjoy spectacular scenery, riverboat hospitality, and each other. We are closest to the Lafayette Hotel in downtown Marietta, and about 2 miles or less from the rest of the hotels in Marietta. The Ohio River NationalWildlife Refuge facility is only about 3 miles from the new Valley Gem landing. We have public Sightseeing cruises everyday but Monday thru June 30 and everyday in July thru Aug. 30th. These cruises depart at 2:30 and return at 4pm.
Tickets are sold while boarding, beginning at 2pm.
